We are a third generation family-run HVAC business that values our customers and our employees. We started over 50 years ago in a small building in the heart of 5 Points as Sharpe Heating & A/C.
Bill Sharpe and his father, Bob, were in business together until around 1956 when Bob retired. Bill changed the name to Standard Heating & A/C Co. and became incorporated. In 1986 Bill moved the company to 1314 Ellerbe Street in Columbia.
The new millennium brought more changes. Bill began the process of handing down the reins. In January 2002, Bill's youngest son, Tim, became the third generation owner. Tim has worked with his dad for over 17 years and has a State Mechanical License as well as a Master Gas Fitter License. In the Fall of 2012, Tim relocated the business offices to the present location at 525 N. 12th St. in West Columbia, SC.
Our best advocates are our customers – the majority of the work we do is through repeat customers and referrals.
